FIGHT night Liquid Wrexham April 14th 2013

Arwel Morris Vs Josh Haygarth

It was a full house yet again at Liquid in Wrexham for the first Russ Williams Promotions Fight night of 2013

Mikey Bagnall of Wrexham Thai Boxing club and Alex Bagley of Mersey Thai (both only 10 years of age) kicked off proceedings with an impressive show of skills for their age with Alex deemed the winner

Jordan Wynn of Wrexham Thai Boxing went the distance but lost on points to Kyle Ellis of Llandudno Immortals

Steven Stooke  of Thomas Thai in his fourth fight lost to Matty Jackson of AC Muai Thai Chester who was on his first fight

Glyn Williams of Wrexham Thai Boxing drew against a much heavier Ryan Jones of Thomas Thai in their demo bout

14 year old Haydn Jones of Llandudno Immortals lost on points to 14 year old Dylan Lee of Merseyside Kickboxing

Krystof Properly of Muai Thai Chester lost to Chris Jones of Russ Williams Gym

71Kg Adam Stevenson of Chester Kabon lost to 75KG Craig Poole of Thomas Thai Chester

Aaron Jones of Llandudno Immortals won in his bout against Kudranski Lukazse of Sale West

Holywell fighter Naomi Jones of Thomas Thai Beat fellow competitor Shannon Graham of Newmark Martial Arts . Shannon agreed to fight after 2 of Naomi's previous competitors had to pull out

Tony Piano of Alex Gym Mold lost on points to Ash Jones of Russ Williams Gym

Greenfield fighter Jay Cooper of Thomas Thai beat Gintaras Ausejenca of Chester Boxers

Next Level gym boxer Josh Haygarth was beaten by Ruthin's Arwel Morris of Russ Williams gym in what was an extremely close and competitive fight

Steve Stocker of Spencer's Gym drew against Liam Brown of Sale West

The Final bout and main event saw Ricky Nicholson of Thomas Thai return form retirement after several years of absence to raise money for Evies Dream, a charity set up to help raise the money for 5 year old Evie Lou who has cerebral Palsy and needs to raise £50,000 for an operations and physiotherapy to help her walk

Unfortunately it was not a dream return as Ricky was pulled from the fight by his corner just before the third round after in form 6 foot 6 inch Lukasz Krupadziorow managed to control the bout using his hight dominance and knee

Injury and illness caused cancellation of Eugine Valerio's fight and also Billy Hatton VS Gaz Oates as Gaz was deemed too dehydrated to fight by the medical team after a bout of illness

Ricky who has raised £2,000 for the charity says that thoughts now turn to the next fight nigh on the first weekend of July .

CHASING the snow

It has been a busy week for us photographers chasing snow stories

The above was taken between Cynwyd and Corwen and can be viewed in high res by following the following link : HIGH RES CAR DEAD END

The following video shows some of the driving conditions near the Horseshoe Pass in LLangollen that I drove through to get my images :

You can view the above video in High res here : HIGH RES

I stood next to this snowdrift to get some scale . It is normally the road to Pentredwr

Council battling the elements to get roads cleared . Snow was having to be dumped in fields behind as snow drifts were so high

ANALOGUE HDR ( Ish ) Photography : Using a disposable camera

HDR Purists may despise this post but I don't mind as rules are made to be broken and the best part of photography is experimenting

took the above images with a disposable camera that I have had in my car boot for 2 years or so

I got the images developed and put onto CD , manipulated in Photoshop then put them through HDR Software

My Original experiment with this technique can be Viewed Here : CREEPY HOUSE HDR

MUAI Thai fight preparation

TODAY I covered an Inter club competition where fighters get a sparring experience with people from other clubs

It was great to see so many people taking part and enjoying themselves

It was especially great to see some of the younger kids ( pictured is a 7 year old ) enjoying every minute of her bout and smiling throughout

PORTRAITS into graffiti

My little nephew Luke

I took the image on his first birthday

The stencil is in the center and the Graffiti that has faded over this icy winter is on the right

This was my first ever attempt  at stenciling and I used household paint and a dishcloth to dab it on !!

Using spray paint at a later date proved much easier

 My Friend Tristan

I'll be honest I can't remember if I took this image or not but I did take a very similar image  at one of my brothers epic house-parties

Center image is the outline ( Saving a ton of money on ink but you do have to take care of what you are doing )

The one on the right has 3 colours in it ( White on original wall , black and grey ) It took 2 stencils to get the different colours

I bought the spraypaint from Poundland
They sell everything there

Some Examples of what I have done so far

( INCIDENTALLY THIS IS MY 200th BLOG POST !! WHOOP )

The Idea behind this project was to have all friends and family with my wife and I when we are in the backyard

We are lucky to have friends and relatives from all over the world so we could never have them altogether at once

It is an ongoing project that has taken more hours for me to do than I care to think about

It is however something I very much enjoy doing and that's why I give so much time to it

I first thought of the Idea the day we moved into the house

( Yes my landlady has seen it .......Luckily she liked it )

LOSING is tough no matter what the level

Chirk Vs Shotton fc

Upton  Vs Helsby U14's

My fave pic from the weekend sport

MISSING keys poster

Poster washed out by the rain
Of all the times I have to lose my car keys sober and posting something at the post office was not what I expected . To top it off the item I was posting was a camera I made a loss on selling on E Bay

Keys however are boring for a poster so an image I took of a cat was used as an alternative

*No my name is not scott I just used that name so I knew if someone was calling me and messing me about

.....................Still no bloomin keys though . Do people still hand them in at the police station ?
