Great oaks from little acorns grow

Having bought a film SLR from E Bay I have been itching to use it ( I bought a Canon Eos 300 as my digital Eos lenses will fit straight on . Not sure if the person selling it was too happy though as I was the only bidder and got it for the bargain price of £5 with £3.50 p&p ..... I gave excellent feedback so everyone's happy...)

I have put a colour film through it but taking it to be processed in Boots today I was met with the response     " Process paid , I haven't seen that in years , we charge you to process it here you have to send it off," not the greatest of starts really and did seem a little daft I bought it from them , they had the equipment to process it behind them ...... but I had to send it through the post ..... Ah well you live and learn !!!!

Anyway I had a few B&W pics from the other day and  decided to visit Greenfield heritage valley near Holywell to finish off the reel

The heritage area is a great place to get pics with old mills, a ruined abbey and ponds

TECH INFO :

I used Canon 300d with a Canon 70-40 lens ( Bit daft a £500 lens on a £5 camera I do admit )

Kentmere 100 iso film 24 exp from Nova Darkroom website ( Amazing place I ordered in the morning , the next day I had it  delivered you can find the website here :NOVA DARKROOM SUPPLIES

It was developed in a Pattison 4 tank for 10.5 mins and in a fixer for 5 mins . ( This gave the high contrast feel to the pics)

I'm fairly happy with the results but right now it's more about learning for me that's important. The images still to me appear a little muddy and there is strobing  on some of the shots (probably due to the Fairy liquid not being washed off properly )
