Fight Report . Liquid Wrexham 25th March 2012

" Respect all fear none " the gym motto for one of the travelling clubs , summing up very well the ethos and atmosphere at the Russ Williams caged event at Liquid in Wrexham on Sunday night

All the fighters gave their all and put their bodies on the line making for a great show and atmosphere

Christopher Martin of Castle Fitness in Conwy Vs Ieian Meyers of Team extreme kicked off proceedings with a 3 X 3 min Amateur MMA bout with Ieuan winning with a 1st round tapout

Mathew Pugh and Damien Tryfanow both of Russ Williams Gym performed a 2 round demo match

Krystof Properly of AC Muai Thai Chester lost to Jack Seymore of Alex Gym Mold in a fight that went the distance

Donny Robnetts of Llandudno Immortals lost against Joe Davies of Gladiators Shrewsbury in a 3 x 1.5 min K1 Rules

Josh Heygarth of Next Level was victorious against Ash Jones of Kelloggs Thaiboxing

Paul Evans of AC Muay Thai Chester  went the distance but lost to Alan Davies of Taz Muai Thai

James Sumner of AC Muai Thai Chester went the distance with Alex Bell of Thomas Thai with the judged scoring Alex the winner

Mithu Waszjiewicz of Muscle House Warrington won against Anton Dixon of Kellogs Thaiboxing with the referee stopping the fight in the 3rd round

The most fierce fight of the night getting the crowd going was Paul Hodrien of Next Level Vs Gaz Oates of Alex Gym Mold . The bout was stopped in the 3rd round by the referee after several warnings to the fighters giving Gaz Oates the win

Gaz Robinson of Thomas Thai went the distance and won against Arwel Morris of Class Kicks Ruthin after a 3 X 2 min fight

Chopper Burton of Team Tennant tapped out after 16 seconds after Kurt Jones of Team Extreme Wrexham managed to arm bar him on the mat in a 3 X 4 min semi pro MMA match

Alex Johnson of Stoke Fight Factory right hooked and Knocked out his opponent Phil Manian of Muscle House Warrington in the early stages of the Semi Pro 3 X 4 min fight . A standing ovation was given when Phil got back to his feet after medical treatment

With the winner of the British Thai Boxing Title Eliminator going through to fight for a British belt tensions were high . the 5 x 2 Full K1 Rules fight was the final fight that went the distance with Mike Egan of Next Generation gym going through against Marc Evans of Russ Williams Gym on a judges split decision . This was a controversial decision with some senior members believing the decision should be reversed

The Final fight of the night was a Wrexham derby with Gary Yarwood of Wrexham Wrestling / MMA Club Vs David Williams of Team Extreme MMA Wrexham . After a long floor battle in this 3 x 5 min Full Pro MMA Gary won when his opponent tapped out towards the end of the 1st round
